This year’s Spring Gala, our biggest fundraising event of the year, raised over £300,000 to support our mission to bring world-class ballet to more people as we prepare to move into our new home at London City Island in 2019.

Kindly hosted by The Dorchester on Monday 19 March, and sponsored by EcoWorld Ballymore, the sparkling evening kicked off with a Laurent-Perrier champagne reception and included a delicious three-course meal with wine supplied by Bodega Raffy.

Our guests were then treated to performances by our dancers, including Junior Soloist Guilherme Menezes dancing Sebastian Kloborg’s playful Flight Mode, as well as excerpts of Akram Khan’s Dust (part of Lest We Forget) performed by Lead Principal Erina Takahashi and Soloist James Streeter, and Kenneth MacMillan’s The Sleeping Beauty performed by Lead Principals Jurgita Dronina and Aaron Robison.

Guests had the opportunity to bid on exclusive silent auction prizes throughout the night, and we launched our Appeal to raise money towards our overall mission as we make our next step to London City Island.
