Won Grand Prix Award and Artistry Award at Youth America Grand Prix 2014 - New York Finals; Awarded top prize Personnalites qui feront l'actualité de la danse, 2014. Won Grand Prix Award at Youth America Grand Prix 2014 European Season; Prize winner (5th) at Prix de Lausanne, 2013. Awarded for the top 10 stand out performances of 2010 in Point Magazine for his role in Billy Elliot. Raised in Canada by his Cuban parents and family and has a younger brother named Lazaro and an English Bulldog called Mambo. Very into sports, especially Hockey.
In 2017 he was awarded the Critic's Circle National Dance Awards for Outstanding Male Performance (Classical) for his appearance as Ali in Le Corsaire.
