Lady Debbie Buffini

As well as having a passion for ballet, Debbie Buffini chairs the Buffini Chao Foundation.  It is a family philanthropic foundation which she and her husband, Sir Damon established in 2005 to support education and opportunities for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Charities supported include those that open the door to dance, music, drama and sport.

Debbie is currently also a trustee on the board of the V&A Foundation and on the Advisory Panel of Into University.  In July 2023, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Manchester Metropolitan University in recognition of her work to support young people.

Debbie’s earlier career was as a solicitor, working in London and the US, having qualified both in England and at the New York State Bar.
