We recap a wonderful week performing at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in the French capital.

Our recent week in Paris was very special: it began with a special welcome evening at the residence of the British ambassador, and marked the long-awaited premiere of Akram Khan’s Giselle in France, where ballet fans had been eagerly anticipating our arrival.

The performance on Friday 14 October was the 100th performance of this production since its premiere in 2016 in Manchester, and it was also the last ever performance by Tamara Rojo and Stina Quagebeur.

Thank you to all the balletomanes who came to watch the production and shared their thoughts on social media. It always mean a lot to see the spirit of Giselle resonating with people around the world.

Friday’s performance was particularly emotional as Tamara Rojo and Stina Quagebeur bid farewell to the stage.

The Financial Times critic Laura Cappelle was there and gave the performance 5 stars.

We know both Tamara and Stina will continue to make their mark on the ballet world – Tamara as Artistic Director and Stina as choreographer – delighting and astounding us with their work.
