Contemporary Dance

Overview

These lively and engaging contemporary sessions will focus on increasing your versatility in moving whilst improving posture, balance and fitness.

Feel invigorated and connected!

Influenced by release technique Contemporary class will explore (but is not limited to) falling, shifting and creative improvisation.

The class is open level. We recommend you have some experience in the foundations of Contemporary movement but this is not essential.

All classes are accompanied by a live musician, and this class specifically will aim to improve dancers’ musicality, often including floor work and building up to learning phrases throughout the class.

This class is taught by Ciara Clayton and accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Devid Dell’Aiera.
