Get closer to the beauty of the ballet with this special backstage event celebrating the magical Christmas tradition of Nutcracker.
A production of this size is a huge undertaking, with enormous painted backdrops and set pieces, props, hundreds of costumes and shoes, dozens of lighting cues – not to mention coordinating with over one hundred dancers and musicians.
This is a rare chance to see behind the curtain in the world of professional ballet and gain incredible insight into how much dedication and artistry go into every breathtaking moment on stage.

FAQs
No you do not need a ticket to watch the ballet in order to book and attend a workshop. Workshops are standalone events and open to all.

All workshop fees are non-refundable unless events are cancelled by English National Ballet.

We do not permit participants to take photos and videos during the event itself. However there is time set aside at the end of class for participants to take photos/ videos on the stage.
Our behind the scenes tour is for participants who are 18+.
If you are looking for on stage opportunities for those younger than 18, we have youth creative classes (ages 9 - 17) and workshops as well as family workshops (ages 5 - 9) available here.
