Championing talent development and artistic excellence, English National Ballet’s Emerging Dancer returns from 4 June 2026 on YouTube.

What is Emerging Dancer?

Part of our commitment to nurturing talent, Emerging Dancer offers young artists of the company a platform to share their growth, individuality and creative voice.

At the event, the nominees showcase their technical accomplishments, artistry, and unique interpretations of repertoire classics and new choreography in front of a panel of judges.

This is an opportunity for the nominees to shine, and a chance for audiences to get to know them better, and to see how far their hard work and dedication has taken them.

Emerging Dancer began in 2010, under then Artistic Director Wayne Eagling. 2026 marks the 14th edition.

It will take place on 28 May at the company’s home in East London, the Mulryan Centre for Dance, and be streamed from 4 June on YouTube for everyone to enjoy around the world.
