Feel more wonder, joy and excitement as you step on stage at the London Coliseum.

Designed for adult dancers (aged 18+ years), this workshop includes taking a short barre followed by some centre exercises to warm up, before exploring some of the most recognisable dances in ballet. Inspired by the magical world of Nutcracker, step into the stunning Land of Sweets and Delights and waltz the day away.

Open level: We recommend dancers have some ballet experience in order to best enjoy this workshop. This session will creatively explore sections of the ballet and phrases from the repertoire and can be adapted to your ballet experience, whether you’re a seasoned pro or have a few classes under your belt.

Do I need have a ticket to watch the ballet in order to book a workshop?

No you do not need a ticket to watch the ballet in order to book and attend a workshop. Workshops are standalone events and open to all. If you would like to book a ticket to accompany your workshop you can book tickets to Nutcracker here.

What should I wear to a ballet workshop?

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. Class will be taken in barefoot or in soft ballet shoes - no soft blocks, socks or pointe shoes are permitted.

Can I take photos during the event?

We do not permit participants to take photos and videos during the event itself. However there is time set aside at the end of class for participants to take photos/ videos on the stage.

Are there any age restrictions for adult workshops?

Our adult ballet workshops are designed for participants who are 18+. There is no upper age limit! If you are looking for opportunities for dancers younger than 18, we have youth creative classes (ages 9 - 17) and workshops as well as family workshops (ages 5 - 9) available here.
