An innovative dance-video project developed as part of English National Ballet's 2015 residency in Liverpool.

From November 2015 to January 2016, an inter-generational cast of Liverpool dancers worked with choreographers and film directors Morgann Runacre-Temple and Jessica Wright, alongside professional dancer, Hannes Langolf, to make The Last Resort, a short dance film inspired by Martin Parr’s photography series taken in New Brighton.

A talented hypnotist who transports his audience to a seaside resort for the ultimate budget getaway – a five minute experience guaranteed to last a life time. The Last Resort imagines a world where real holidays are a thing of the past.

The short film was part of English National Ballet’s Liverpool residency project The Dance Within Us, delivered in partnership with Tate Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Empire Theatre and MDI.

I have really enjoyed meeting new friends whilst working alongside a professional team. A very enjoyable experience of which I was sad to see come to an end.

I have enjoyed working with different age groups and abilities, and working with the choreographers and a professional dancer like Hannes
