English National Ballet

Maria Seletskaja assumed the role of Music Director of English National Ballet in November 2023, and assumed the role at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, having been a guest conductor in 2023/24.

Highlights

Maria Seletskaja trained as a dancer and had a successful career with Estonian National Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, Zurich Ballet and the Royal Ballet of Flanders, before moving to music and conducting.

She has worked with Stuttgart Ballet (Assistant Conductor), The National Ballet of Canada (Conductor-in-Residence), San Francisco Ballet, The Royal Danish Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet and Staatsballett Berlin.

She has conducted English National Ballet Philharmonic in Derek Deane’s Swan Lake in-the-round (Tchaikovsky); Aaron S.
