Giselle

“The best Giselle you are ever likely to see”
The Independent on Sunday

Love and betrayal, innocence and the supernatural; Giselle is the ultimate Romantic ballet. This traditional staging of the 1841 production moves from bright, sunny optimism to a ghostly world of mystery.

The story centres on a young peasant girl, Giselle, who dies of heartbreak after being deceived by the man she loves. In the second act, she returns from the grave to save his life when it is threatened by vampiric ghosts.
