Sian Westerman is a Senior Adviser to the Rothschild Group, splitting her time between the UK and Greater China, with a focus on retail and luxury businesses. Prior to taking up this post in January 2014, she was a Managing Director in the Global Financial Advisory Division at Rothschild in London where she specialised in advising companies on complex UK and cross border, public and private mergers, acquisitions and disposals and financings.
She runs a separate consultancy business in Hong Kong and is an investor in and director of a number of British brands including Meli Melo and Roksanda Ilincic. She supports the British Luxury industry through mentoring a number of young brands and is a member of the Investment pillar of The British Fashion Council.
Sian is a Trustee of the Trust of the Royal Academy of Art , a member of the Advocates Board of the Royal Court Theatre and a consultant to Music Masters. She is one of the Founding members of the Steering Committee of the 30% Club.
Sian joined Rothschild in 1988 from Slaughter and May where she qualified as a Solicitor in 1988. She has English and French law degrees from the Universities of Birmingham and Limoges respectively. In 2003 Sian won the Harpers & Queen/Chanel Businesswoman of the Year award.
