Won the Grand Prix of the Varna International Ballet Competition and first prize at the Arabesque-96 Ballet Competition Perm, also winning the Korea Ballet Foundation Prize for Best Dancer. In 2015 Ivan Vasiliev made his debut as a choreographer and premiered his Ballet № 1. In 2016, he staged three one-act ballets, Morphine, Blind Affair and Bolero which are included in the repertoire of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. In May 2016 Vasiliev’s ballet, Love is All Around premiered at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In December 2016, premiered his first two-act ballet A Christmas Carol.
