Who you are:

A passionate, committed and caring individual with a good knowledge and experience of the artform. You will need to have previous experience of assisting with the preparation of daily casting and weekly rehearsal schedules and performance schedules; the ability to coach both classical and contemporary repertoire and teach class

Purpose of the role

To assist the Artistic Co-ordinator to effectively and promptly prepare weekly rehearsal schedules and daily casting and performance schedules. To assist choreographers in the creation of new works, and to rehearse and maintain standards of existing repertoire. To mentor an allocated group of dancers in the Company, to teach class and to monitor individual dancers’ professional standards in rehearsal and performance, providing feedback and guidance as appropriate.

Hours of work:

Normal company hours during rehearsal weeks are Monday to Friday 10.15am – 6.30pm and Saturdays 10.15am to 2.30pm with suitable breaks.

During performance weeks, hours are variable and evening working, and weekend working will be required. Extensive travel within the UK and further afield will be necessary.

Salary: circa £32,000
