Learn repertoire inspired by English National Ballet’s newest production!
Join ENBYouthCo-nnect Creative Director Jo Meredith and an exciting team of industry professional dance artists for a unique and exciting dance workshop, progressing to a course of weekly classes to build technique and explore creative choreography and repertoire.
The taster workshop will give you an idea of what to expect from the course, which will take inspiration from English National Ballet’s brand new production of Raymonda, created by ENB Artistic Director Tamara Rojo.
Each week, Jo will take you through a class that starts with a fun, technical warm-up, before delving into choreography, developing dance ideas and creating your own dances.
Specially designed for dancers aged 12 – 15 years, this programme is a perfect opportunity to meet professional artists, broaden your knowledge of ballet and contemporary dance techniques, develop physical and choreographic skills, and express your creativity. You will also be some of the first ever to learn choreography inspired by Raymonda, just as the brand new production premieres.
All activity will be held onsite at English National Ballet, Mulryan Centre for Dance. We recommend that participants have some prior dance experience.
Book by 13 January and receive free tickets to English National Ballet’s Raymonda for the performances on the 18th or 19th of January at the London Coliseum: one for the participant and one for a parent/guardian. Once you’ve booked your place, a member of our engagement team will be in touch regarding your tickets.
