The large number of dancers, full orchestra, complex performance and rehearsal schedule, and far-reaching learning and outreach programme make English National Ballet an expensive organisation to run.
Support from Trusts, Foundations and Livery Companies is more vital than ever to our funding mix, enabling us to undertake our core work as well as fulfilling our goals for new projects.
These generous funds support our extensive national and international touring, the preservation of existing ballet heritage through the refurbishment and acquisition of repertoire, and encourage new audiences through our innovative learning and outreach programme; as well as supporting artistic creativity through the commissioning of new work which both challenges our dancers and creates a new legacy for the future, and furthermore enabling us to undertake exciting strategic projects each year, for example Dance for Parkinson’s, My First Sleeping Beauty and Big Dance 2012.
Such a diversity of work would not be possible without these invaluable partnerships. Some examples of the different ways we work with these partners can be found through the following case studies:
We would like to thank our Trust, Foundation and Livery Company partners who have supported us over the years. We are always seeking to develop new partnerships to provide such indispensable funds.
