Dance for Parkinson’s Liverpool

Weekly Thursday classes, 2pm – 4pm
Spring Term, Thursday 23 January – Thursday 17 April (excluding 20 February) 2014
At Merseyside Dance Initiative, 24 Hope Street, Liverpool, L1 9BX

Classes are £3.50 per person, per session, £38.50 for the term.

We have teamed up with Merseyside Dance Initiative (MDI) in Liverpool to bring our national Dance for Parkinson’s programme to the city in 2014.

Our first term of classes in Liverpool is inspired by Le Corsaire – based on the poem by Lord Byron, it tells of a dashing pirate Conrad and his love for the beautiful slave girl Medora. Our weekly classes explore the characters, themes and music from the production throughout the term. Participants attend a performance of Le Corsaire on Thursday 13 February at Manchester Palace Theatre, along with a special behind-the-scenes presentation of the designs and costumes from this epic ballet.

Contact Merseyside Dance Initiative for a booking form at info@mdi.org.uk or call 0151 708 8810.

“It has encouraged us to try something new, exercise our bodies and minds. I know more about ballet, and to forget I have Parkinson's for a couple of hours a week has been a most positive experience too.” - Participant, Dance for Parkinson’s programme
