We are delighted to announce that over £100,000 was raised at our annual fundraising gala at The Dorchester on 30 March 2009; a truly fantastic achievement.
The Dorchester’s ballroom was a vision of pink blossoms by NB Flowers, sparkled over by a magnificent Swarovksi chandelier. The Champagne reception was followed by a delicious dinner, punctuated by performances from traditional Japanese drummers, Taiko Meantime and new choreography by Junor Oliveira de Souza to music from Madam Butterfly.
The vital fundraising opportunities included a silent auction, a Cherry Blossom tree adorned with prize lanterns and a live auction hosted by
Lord Poltimore, the prize lot being a gleaming Harley-Davidson.
We are enormously grateful to everyone who bid or bought a lantern;
the money raised enables us to continue in our mission to deliver
world-class classical ballet to the nation.
