Manchester this week with The Snow Queen and an Ice-Maiden and Courtier were on hand to open Manchester's Christmas Ice-Rink. They certainly fitted in looking so icy with their masks adorned with Swarovski crystals - see left.
I am pleased to report that Michelle McGing has returned from maternity leave in Development. Michelle has certainly chosen a busy time to return, the Coliseum season begins in two weeks and the department are also organising two soirees for vital funds next week.
Ex dancer Matthew Paluch who has also been working in our Development department will be taking some time out of the office next week to take two schools' workshops based on The Snow Queen. Matthew will explore the themes of the ballet and encourage participants to discover basic ballet and to create their own work based on movement from the The Snow Queen. To complete their experience these children will attend a performance of The Snow Queen in December, where they'll be able to compare their creations with the real thing!
