Friday 29 June

The dancers have finished their mammouth run of Swan Lake and as a result are very tired this week - with just one day off they returned to the rehearsal studios to prepare for this week's extravaganza - Concert for Diana!

Despite the huge excitement there are some worries - mainly, will it rain?! Everyone has their fingers crossed it will be dry at 5.23pm when English National Ballet takes the stage, especially the wardrobe department! In fact the dancers and orchestra are rehearsing at Wembley Stadium today, I have no doubt they'll be step and note perfect I just hope they're prepared for an audience of millions!

Last night Markova House was transformed into a Sevillian Summer house as a Spanish soiree was hosted to raise valuable funds for the Company. The repetoire was all Spanish including artist Stina Quagebeur's First Impressions and the Spanish section from The Nutcracker - they were even performed by many of our Spanish dancers!

Check back next time to find out all of the gossip from Concert for Diana!
