What a season! Our most successful ever! We hope everyone who attended a performance enjoyed it and come and see us again soon.
But there is no rest for our dancers, their belated Christmas break will start after their tour to Beijing, China. The Company travels to China this weekend, with time scheduled to allow them to get over jet lag and for their bodies to de-swell before rehearsals begin and performances of Swan Lake commence on the 30th.
The last time the Company were in the region was 1979, although the Company has a longer association with China as our president, Dame Beryl Grey, is famous for her pioneering role as the first major Western ballerina to dance with a Chinese partner in the counrty.
