The Royal Albert Hall season started dramatically with principal dancer Arionel Vargas being injured. A last minute cast change ensued, the result - Jan-Erik Wikstrom flying over from Sweden to partner Elena Glurdjidze. Arionel is expected to start dancing again in 3 weeks.

Resident artist, Alan Halliday was spotted painting during class at the Royal Albert Hall, no doubt taking advantage of the increased Company size and spectacular setting.

Swan Lake's opening night brought with it a hoard of celebrity ballet fans including Andrew Lincoln, Felicity Kendal and our favourite dancing judges, Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli! The evening began with a tribute to Dame Beryl Grey - the whole audience joined in song to wish Dame Beryl a Happy 80th Birthday!
