Friday 12 October

The World Premiere of The Snow Queen was last night in Liverpool and what a roaring reception it got! A very long standing ovation from an absolutely packed audience. The costumes were fantastic, particulalry the Snow Queen's court in Act II, their punk white wigs and Swarovski masks made such an impact.

You may have heard our Managing Director, Craig Hassall, on the Radio 4 Today programme talking about the importance for theatre for young people with particular reference to Angelina's Star Performance. He argued that this was a fantastic opportunity to get a new audience interested in live theatre and hopefully ballet and that it should not be compared to a full-length classical ballet but other contemporary children's shows. We'll let you decide - the tour continues until 14 December.

Let's hope The Snow Queen and Swan Lake go down as well in Bristol!
