| Debuts at the Coliseum |

This season at the London Coliseum there were lots of exciting debuts and appearances by some of the youngest members of the Company. Laurretta Summerscales debuted in her first Principal role in Giselle as the Queen of the Wilis, Myrtha. Her debut took place on the eve of her 19th Birthday and follows her entry to the Company a year early from English National Ballet School. Vadim Muntagirov also joined English National Ballet this season and has already totted up an impressive CV of principal roles dancing with Senior Principal Daria Klimentová. Vadim danced the Prince in The Nutcracker, The Snow Queen's wolf and Albrecht in Giselle this Christmas at the London Coliseum. Vadim also danced the Poet in Les Sylphides during the Company's visit to Barcelona. Other Artists of the Company in notable roles have included Kerry Birkett as Moyna in Giselle and the Arabian in The Nutcracker, Jia Zhang also as the Arabian in The Nutcracker and Nathan Young as Kay in The Snow Queen. These dancers have to fit learning these roles into a busy schedule as they must also learn and perform the corps de ballet roles to support the rest of the Company. They will no doubt be taking full advantage of their holiday after such a busy season! |

The Nutcracker is a huge financial and creative undertaking costing hundreds of thousands of pounds, so we are appealing to your generosity to help us bring this production to life.
The Nutcracker Appeal has eight levels of giving from Mice at £25 up through the ranks of different characters to The Nutcracker at £5,000. All donors will be acknowledged on our website and you can receive all sorts of other exciting benefits as you go up the levels including exclusive invitations to behind the scenes events and opportunities to meet the artistic team behind The Nutcracker.
