Senior Principal Daria Klimentova will be celebrating 20 years of being a Principal dancer in her own special way - by organising a Gala in her native Czech Republic on 10 and 11 March. Daria will celebrate with friends and colleagues from the past and present of her career including Daniil Simkin and Hermann Cornejo from ABT, Stuttgart Ballet's Friedemann Vogel and current partner Vadim Muntagirov. The galas also represent Daria's 1000 shows since she first became a principal at the age of 18. A Czech television company, who have documented much of Daria's career already, will be present to film the Gala to be screened later in the year in the Czech Republic. Daria will perform Daria Klimentova and Friedemann Vogel (Stuttgart Ballet), Tchaikovsky pas de deux by Balanchine and a pas de deux from Manon Daria Klimentova and Tamas Solymosi (Hungarian National Ballet), Mashkovski Waltz Daria Klimentova, solo choreographed by Christopher Hampson Other pieces performed will be taken from Giselle, Swan Lake, Flames of Paris, Don Quixote, Trois Gnossiennes, Les Bourgoise, Within the Golden Hour Guests include Daniil Simkin and Herman Cornejo from ABT Maria Kotchetkova and Joan Boada from San Francisco Ballet Jan Eric Wickstrom from Royal Swedish Ballet Erina Takahashi, Vadim Muntagirov, Adela Ramirez and James Forbat from English National Ballet For more information visit Daria's website. |
